Dominique Ansel Bakery
One of my new year resolutions is to be more punctual with posting on the blog. However to do that means that, err, I have to get last year's posts finished off first! And so I take you back to September (yes, really) when I paid a visit to the Dominique Ansel Bakery in Belgravia.
I'm sure the Cronut needs no introduction, but incase you need a refresh, the Cronut is a croissant-doughnut hybrid created by world-famous pastry chef Dominique Ansel. He brought his masterpieces across the pond and like he did in New York, created mass hysteria and round the block queues of people wanting to get their paws on his fancies.
Thankfully the day that I visited there was no queue to be had! We ordered the Salted Caramel Eclair (heaven), Liquid Caramel Peanut Butter Mousse Cake (good but I wouldn't rush to order again) and not forgetting, the mighty Cronut. Of course there is other items on the menu other than just sweet treats - but if you go and order a salad, I don't think we can be friends.
We sat in their outdoor terrace (I'd strongly recommend doing this, even in winter!) and well and truly got our sugar fix. Buzzing around Belgravia for the rest of the day.
