Tried & Tested: Super Active Cream, Anne Semonin
In summer, anything lightweight goes. But as the weather turns there's that need for more: more layers and more protection for your skin.
I'm already a fan of Anne Semonin (if you haven't already seen my previous post on the range, you can pay a visit here) and when the lovely team at Anne Semonin kindly sent me one of their top-selling products, the Super Active Cream, I was more than excited to try it.
The Super Active Cream is a rich, advanced anti-ageing day cream which the website boasts provides an alternative to botox (I'm already sold!). It's certainly a richer, heavier day cream than I'm used to, but like I said, as the weather changes and the days cool down, your skin needs that extra protection against the environment and this does just the trick!
Ingredients include a revolutionary botox-like peptide, a complex of gums to boost collagen synthesis and a natural resin of myrrh to help plump the skin. Thanks to these, the cream promises to rehydrate, firm, lift and plump giving a more youthful, radiant appearance. I remember even after the first use my skin felt totally hydrated without feeling greasy. Oh and I've already noticed my skin's firmness is on the up - it's not called 'Super' for nothin'!
If you don't mind the splurge, Anne Semonin's Super Active Cream is something of a luxury purchase that your skin really will thank you for. Buy exclusively from Harrods here.
