Mad about the floral

It's true. Over the last year or so, I've become utterly obsessed with all things floral. But when it just makes everything look so-darn-pretty, can you really blame me?

So it comes as no surprise that when I first saw this dress in Zara, I was smitten. Head over heels, love at first sight kinda smitten. With a touch of Erdem to it, I knew it was going to be the hit dress of the summer, which is why it's taken me so long to get round to wearing it. See, I bought it ages ago, but as with any high street statement dress - let's face it, usually from Zara - I find that EVERYONE else has it. Which in this dress's case is certainly true. And so I wait, until it might be clear to wear the dress out without seeing double on the street. And my rule about wearing this to a party? Give me a few months! Thankfully on the day I chose to prance around Notting Hill wearing it, there wasn't another floral dress in sight which suited me perfectly.

The second part to my outfit was another one of those love-at-first-sight moments courtesy of my lovely friends at The Cambridge Satchel Company. I fell hard for the Small Cloud Bag and I think you will too. I couldn't resist their Damson colour (being the proud owner of a black, oxblood and navy it was about time I injected some colour into my life!), a deep wintry purple perfect for the season. It doesn't fit a great deal, pretty much only the essentials, and for that I love it. Because if you can't fit the kitchen sink in your bag, then you won't end up carrying around the kitchen sink!

Now to the exciting part to start the week - THERE'S A COMPETITION TO BE WON HERE! Fancy winning yourself not only one of their gorgeous bags but also a brand new Canon camera? Sure you do!
