The 'Go To' Uniform

Now that I'm constantly on the go, quite literally running from meetings to shoots to appointments, comfort it absolutely key to me. There's nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable in what you're wearing, partly because you will indeed be uncomfortable but also, it will show in the way you act and the way you come across. When I put something on, I want to feel like me so that I can go on with my day feeling confident and comfortable in my appearance.

This look we shot last weekend in Kentish Town. I call it my 'go to' uniform because when I'm running around, when I'm out doing shoots or going to meetings, this is exactly what I wear! Changing shorts for jeans when the weather's a bit chilly but otherwise, this is what I always throw on without a care. I love the simplicity of this look and I'm also more than a little obsessed with my new waistcoat (it was love at first sight!) so any excuse to wear this then I'm sold!

During our weekend shoot, I was also doing a bit of official work bizness (work being photography and photography being loads of FUN) so I needed the comfort in order to move around from location to location, and this look couldn't have been a more perfect throw-on.

A final part of my look which is key to my 'on-the-go' lifestyle is my backpack. It's safe to say I am so late to the backpack scene! I haven't had one since I was nine (at the time a rather fashionable one from the Disney store... ahem) and until recently, didn't quite think they fit into my grown-up life. How wrong I was! My backpack is courtesy of Eastpak who make some absolutely awesome bags (just take a look at what they have to offer here). Mine is super spacious and can literally fit everything in which has come in rather handy recently on shoots and days away from home. Cameras, notepads, spare clothes, laptop - you name it! This backpack fits it all. And it helps that it looks rather easy on the eye too...
