Beautython with Covent Garden
When you think of Covent Garden, what springs to mind?
The iconic piazza? The amazing restaurants all within walking distance from each other? The Opera House? The markets? The street performers? In fact, stop. There's too much I could list as Covent Garden really is the London destination.
Whilst all of the above, or some, might spring to mind you might not instantly think of it being the destination for beauty. But what you might not know is that it's actually the beauty quarter of London thanks to playing host to the most stand-alone beauty boutiques within one square mile.
To name but a few of the residents...
Chanel, Deciem, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Aesop, Atelier Cologne, Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Burberry, Clinique, Dior, Diptyque, Jo Malone London, Miller Harris, Molton Brown, Trevor Sorbie, KIKO, MAC.
Quite the beauty mecca indeed.
To celebrate this, Covent Garden is currently holding Beautython, a marathon of all things beauty now until the 3rd of September. Special offers, in-store tutorials and masterclasses, late openings and personalisation services are just some of the things you can enjoy during this special celebration so if beauty's your thing, then you're not going to want to miss out.
As part of this special celebration, I was invited to Covent Garden for an afternoon of utter indulgence. For the full list of store activities, head on over here to check out what's on but for my top picks, read on...
BLOW DRY AND ALL THE WORKS AT TREVOR SORBIE
First up, I headed to Trevor Sorbie's flagship salon, a chic venue tucked away down Floral Street.
During Beautython, you can enjoy the ultimate package of a cut and blow dry, hair treatment, two Trevor Sorbie products to take away and a cocktail all for £50.
I know - incredible value and totally worth the money. Louise did a magnificent job on my mane, leaving me a bouncy blow dry, not to mention giving me the most heavenly of head massages (you know, the ones where you just never want it to stop?!). I would have paid £50 right then and there for her just to continue for an hour or so...

Ok, whilst this isn't technically part of Beautython, I have to give a special mention to Chez Antoinette because it really is a little gem right in the heart of the piazza.
Tucked away in an arch on the ground floor, Chez Antoinette is a rustic and charming space serving Lyon-style tartines (open sandwiches if you will, but WAY better).
I can't recommend the three cheeses and pear tartine enough - or the salted caramel & hazelnut tart if you're feeling particularly naughty.
A perfect little spot to refuel before getting back to beauty business.

If you're into your skincare, then you'll probably already have heard of Deciem.
If you haven't then listen up!
The latest brand to arrive in CG is very exciting. Deciem is, if you please, the umbrella company which houses some very very exciting brands - from The Ordinary to NIOD to Fountain. I'll be talking more in depth about the products I discovered whilst exploring the store on the blog soon - I've already become hooked on the Flavanone Mud from Niod and cannot wait to share this one with you - but all you need to know right now is that you must go give them a visit - you will be as hooked as I am!
Mark this Thursday in your diaries - Deciem will be hosting skin consultations from The Ordinary as well as serving cocktails and mocktails made with their Fountain supplements - as well as giving customers who spend with them on the night a special treat!
Go, shop, have great skin, be happy.

My final point of call for my Beautython day out was the Charlotte Tilbury store for one of their magical makeovers.
Whilst I am obsessive about my skincare, I'm not so hot on my make-up. I think it's down to the fact that I'm just not very good at doing my own make-up! So a trip to Charlotte Tilbury was an exciting one as the make-up artists there are brilliant - a special shout out to Alesandra for being just generally amazing.
I started by selecting one of the looks - opting for the Golden Goddess, natch - before Alesandra got to work on my transformation, leaving my face absolutely GLOWING. In the best kind of way, of course. Not one to usually like my face full of make-up, I loved this makeover and already making out my make-up wish list for Santa...
For Beautython, Charlotte Tilbury will be holding Hollywood Masterclasses between 7pm - 9pm on Thursday 31st with a very special guest. Tickets are £55 (which is redeemable on the day). To book any of these classes, call the store on 020 3846 9469.
Thank you to all the brands involved and to Covent Garden for having me for the day - I've never felt more pampered!
